I’ve been trying to get myself a property (a bungalow) or a ‘granny flat’ not far outside Dublin. I’m a wheelchair user. I’m not looking for a property for nothing or as handout. What I want is for Planners/Architects/Builders should remember that disability is not the preserve of those of us who currently have disabilities. Estate agents too, have a role to play in promoting housing for life. I’ve no wish to ‘scaremonger’ but is true is to say that ageing is a disabling process.
