Day 13, and despite some lingering light rainfall but otherwise mainly dry and cold weather conditions, our efforts to make progress continues!
The rendering (sand & cement plastering) of the external walls of the raised beds is almost complete; the ground for the main sweeping pathway has been excavated and the section of the garden linking the rear patio to the garden shed area has been completed. The lawn edging, using sandstone sets and soil levels are also being made ready for planting and for the new lawn and the incremental steps are now finished allowing the new garden design to slowly emerge and the result is eye catching!
All stone waste and offcuts are being put to good use as foundation backfill for sweeping pathway. A large stack of pressure treated shiplap timbers have been readied for the commencement of wall cladding later this week; an exciting stage that will dramatically impact the boundary walls and one that will effectively concealing the otherwise drab appearance of concrete block work.
